Hi Everyone,
I’m a thespian. I’m a member of the Screen Actors Guild (now SAG-AFTRA) and I love the stage. I love the art of performance and the mastery of the theater. To me, there is nothing like it and the joy it yields me is indescribable.
I look forward to the Tony Awards every year and this year certainly didn’t disappoint. Honoring the finest of the theater, it reflects the splendor of what a well-trained artist looks like, sounds like, acts like and ultimately becomes.
I’ve been fortunate to have visited just about every theater on Broadway and trust me when I tell you that you will be transformed each and every time you go. Seeing a play on Broadway is not just an attendance – it’s a revelation.
If you’ve never been to Broadway, or to New York City for that matter, you absolutely must put that on your bucket list. And really make it a real visit, not just a one-day excursion. Really take the time to see the city in all its beauty and diversity. I promise, you won’t regret it.
Bravo American Theater Wing. At a time when there isn’t much to cheer about in this country, you remind me that real talent can’t be stifled or weakened by ignorance.
Continue having a great summer everyone!
Bridget
