A special thank you to all of you who have kept me lifted in “true” prayer and asked for God’s help during my time of need this past year. Needless to say, I will not miss 2019 one little bit and I am so excited to say hello to 2020, a year that I believe will be filled with the realization of God’s promises.
Even though my stomach issues continue to cause me great anguish and pain, I am still looking forward to returning to the running world this year, with my first race to take place in the April-May time frame. While I’m no where near my pace from several years ago, I can still hold my own out there and can’t wait to get back to it. Training will be rough in the frozen north but hopefully that is a short-term reality that will be a distant memory in the years to come.
I also expect to “discover” more of my birth history in 2020, pulling out all the stops to explore what I believe is the better part of me. Going on nothing is an awful way to go but I’ll get there. I always do.
Lastly, this year (2020) will be my last year operating this website. It has been a great 15 years but I am cutting off many things to make my life easier and more to my liking moving forward. I own the rights to this site and nothing will change that; it’s just time to get as quiet as possible and truly live for God again.
Until then, I hope to see most of you out on the race courses this year, as well as my many stops in NYC, Los Angeles, and of course, Nashville. And don’t forget this is an Olympic year. Along with the US Open (come on Serena), this is going to be an amazing time in our history.
